IROLAGOS Flagship store: Concept, Campaign and Launch begin about a year ago.This years’ Highlights of iro lagos began with a campaign. Iro Lagos, had in May 2016 kicked off her “everyday achiever woman campaign” to celebrate fearless, inspirational African women.

Lara Adedoyin Afun, the CEO and creative director of iro Lagos, talks about these 6 incredible women and celebrates each lady by dressing them in a unique collection of outfits that best fits their persona. Who are these 6 incredible women? Yes fashionistas indeed; who stamped the occasion with amazing fashion statements. Interestingly, these are career women blazing trails in their different fields. The film production was done in collaboration with Motion Africa.
Lagos look: Salma Phillips, TV Host and content creator was one of the incredible women. “She is a person with a showing personality being a TV presenter. We are styling her in this Northern modern look” says Iro Lagos CEO and Creative Director, Lara Adedoyin – Afun. With her flair, she dressed Salma Phillips with an attire to create “Lagos look” style. Salma Phillips fashion statement reads “IROLAGOS is comfortable and modern. I love it”
Glam classic: Next woman was Stella Duru, an incredible lawyer and Partner at Banwo & Ighodalo. While describing her personality, Lara Afun says” She is a Plus size person. She loves black and white as a Lawyer. But to hone these traits in IROLAGOS, the bling cropped top iro and buba was perfect. She was styled into a modern conservative look called “Glam classic’. Stella says she was thrilled and could even wear the outfit to red carpet and cocktail occasion and as Friday wear. She makes her fashion statement “IROLAGOS does justice to the African curvy woman while blending simplicity with bling”
Ornate classy look: Latasha Ngwube, is a Writer and CEO of Aacute, about that curvy Life. She is also a plus size person. She was transformed into “ornate classy look” Satisfied and impressed Latasha delivered her fashion statement “What else do you want from fashion? Simplicity.Versatility. Style. That is IROLAGOS!
Vintage picnic look: Eleanor Goodey is the CEO of Goodey Photography. Lara describes her as a person that loves Vintage, flowers and photography. Keeping the theme of IROLAGOS “Reclaiming the beauty and heritage of the iro and buba and adapting it for the modern woman “She was styled into the “Vintage picnic look”. Excited and enthralled Eleanor was. She declared her fashion statement “IROLAGOS is a “sexified” version of our tradition.”
Moroccan Look: Funke Bucknor Obruthe is the CEO of zapphaire events. Funke loves art and she is an event planner. So we have decided to style to show a arty, quirky and and funny person. With a mix of eclectic blue Ankara and orange combination, she was dressed into a “Moroccan Look”. Ever smiling she made her fashion statement: IROLAGOS perfectly blends Western touch with our tradition.
Vogue chic look: Banke Meshida-Lawal is the CEO of BMPRO Makeup. She loves dark fabrics and colours. She wears black most of the times. We have decided to create for her a dark, shiny and funky piece says Lara. Cool and impressed Banke declares her fashion statement as well “IROLAGOS has come to stay”

IROLAGOS design inspiration comes from our powerful sourcing capability. We source for these fabrics and make sketches. Then we go ahead to create pieces to represent different eras; and it is such an exhilarating experience as theme styles keep popping up.

The highlight of the launch was the Editors Edit where editors of media platforms were treated to a brunch and had the chance to get the first look at the collections. It was afternoon of great food,and great conversations.
